Messer is seeking a Class B CDL Driver in the Cincinnati market who possesses a working understanding of construction equipment. What You Will Do:Performing daily commercial vehicle inspectionEnsure the completion of necessary repairs to vehicle to ensure operational safetyMaintain complete vehicle inspection reports (Daily)Safe loading & unloading of various construction equipment and suppliesMaking pick-ups & deliveries to job sites in various environmentsPerforming basic troubleshooting involving malfunctioning equipment and making minor repairsDemonstrating proper and safe equipment usage to customer at point of deliveryCompleting log book and trip sheets meeting all D.O.T. and company record keeping requirementsMinimal overnights requiredWhat You Will Bring:Possess a Positive Mind-Set and enjoys working toward the overall success of the teamSelf-starter with a high level of energyAbility to perform tasks in a timely manner and with minimal supervisionMaintain a high level of productivityDemonstrate customer service skills for jobsite delivery serviceA team player willing to assist others for the good of the department & the companyAccept ownership for the quality of our product & the service we provide to our customersThe position requires compliance with the following responsibilities:Maintain a valid driver's license with Class B CDL certification, DOT Physical Examination (Medical Card) & a good driving record2 years of verifiable experience operating Class B Commercial VehiclesWorking knowledge and understanding of Motor Carrier Safety regulations / DOT guidelinesPrior experience in safe operation of construction machinery, and a working understanding of load securement and transport methodsAccountability for personal safety & maintaining a safe work environmentDemonstrate a high level of safety awareness on the roadwaysAttend Messer safety training programsAttend applicable continuation skills training programs We build where we live, and it shows.
