Stormwater Project Manager

Position: Stormwater Project Manager Location: Chesterfield, MO Stormwater Project Manager The Water Environment Group at GBA is looking for an experienced Civil Engineer (5+years) to support their Stormwater projects in the Chesterfield, MO office. GBA•s Stormwater Team works with various public and private entities including internal departments to develop the appropriate conveyance systems and/or storage facilities to alleviate flooding and/or decrease pollution associated with Stormwater runoff. Our expertise ranges from analysis, design and permitting, Design Build and Design Bid Build delivery methods to construction services. Our wide range of projects include Water Quality Study and Design, Stormwater Master Planning, Stream and Riverine Site Evaluation, Storm Sewer Study and Design, as well as Municipal Stormwater Review.Responsibilities: Assist with the collection of data in the field including but not limited to streams/open channel systems, enclosed (conduit and structures) storm and sanitary sewer systems Work with various software packages to produce figures, exhibits, and/or drawings Review existing reports and studies for information related to studies and design projects Prepare written studies and project design technical reports Prepare calculations, designs and specifications Create and update hydrologic and hydraulic computer models such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS XP-SWMM, and associated software packages Oversight of construction observation activities Other duties as assigned Qualifications BS in Civil, Biosystems and/or Agricultural Engineering or closely related engineering degree 5+ years of experience Licensed Professional Engineer desired, or current progress toward licensure in the State of Kansas and/or Missouri Possess effective communication skills both written and oral Must be able to work effectively both on a team and individually Proficiency in AutoCAD, Word, Excel & GIS Mapping software is a plus Experience with some, or all, of the following: assessment, analysis, planning, design and rehab of Stormwater systems; water quality study and design; and riverine hydraulic modeling Detail oriented and dedicated to quality work Candidate must be adept at working on fast-paced projects Current driver•s license for use of Company vehicle for travel or site related assignments Experience in HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HY-8, and PCSWMM a plus Travel: Some occasional local day travel will be required Some overnight travel may be necessary for this position It•s More Than Just A Job• At GBA, we are not your average engineering firm. Position: Senior Water Design Engineer- GBA Location: Chesterfield, MO Senior Water Design Engineer GBA, a multi-disciplined consulting engineering firm, has a career opportunity in our Water Environment Group located in Chesterfield, MO. We are looking for a potable water distribution engineer to fill a design engineer position. The candidate will provide design responsibilities for potable water distribution projects that could include existing distribution system pipe replacement, new distribution lines, pump stations, and storage tanks. The ideal candidate should have significant design experience and be able to demonstrate the ability to work in a highly collaborative environment, while working in the best interests of our clients. Responsibilities Perform the design of projects for both rehabilitation and new construction and provide quality control reviews. Prepare calculations, design drawings, and specifications for potable water system projects. Review existing reports and studies for information relative to development of project design and studies. Prepare written studies and project design technical reports. Coach and mentor younger staff. Assist in project pursuits and proposal preparation. Develop scope and fee proposals for potential projects. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or closely related field. 15+ years of experience in water distribution system design, or similar experience Professional Engineering certification in the State of Texas or the ability to obtain them within six months of employment Possess effective communication skills both written and oral Must be able to work effectively both on a team and individually Candidate must be adept at working on fast-paced projects Travel: Some overnight travel may be necessary for this position.
