A High School diploma or GED is required. The ability to pass a nuclear security background screening including valid Driver License, birth certificate and/or passport, documentation of education, no open litigation including DUI or any reckless driving type offenses, and no pending felony or misdemeanor charges. Must have at least five character references. Complete work history with no gaps. Radiation dose history is needed, both year-to-date and lifetime. Solid written communication is needed as well as professional appearance and attitude, ability to work with ASME code, read drawings and prints, use weld gauges and measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) Ability to certify to MT is a plus. CWI or level III credentials is a plus. Previous unescorted access at a nuclear power plant is a major plus. A willingness to travel is required. Typical assignments are 3 to 8 weeks in duration, working 6 to 7 days per week, generally 10 to 12 hours per shift with both day and night shifts being needed at times. Current valid passport is a plus.
