We create quality products in a safe work environment. Waterloo KPR produces fully cooked, ready-to-eat products. This job posting is for our Formulation floor on 2nd shift that runs 7 days a week. Team members work a rotational schedule of 4 days one week and 3 days the following week with the potential to work additional hours. Work hours are generally 1:40 p.m. to approximately 11:00 p.m./midnight. The base rate of pay is $20.70/hour, plus a shift premium of $1.00/hour. Team members must be willing to work overtime and weekends, as needed. This position is eligible for overtime pay. To be considered for employment, applicants must provide their social security number at the end of the application under National ID# (after seeing "Congratulations").Job Responsibilities:Efficiently and safely sets up, operates, maintains, and tears down the grinder Inspects both augers, grinders, grinder parts, machine guards, and hopper for any foreign objectsMonitors the metal check to ensure it is functioning correctlyDumps meat into the incline auger hopper, feeds meat onto the conveyor belt, and visually checks product for foreign materialCommunicates with the Blender Operator on all product detailsPerforms plate checks and metal checks, and documents in Safety Chain.All team members are responsible for safety, including but not limited to, personal safety and food safety.Complies with all company and USDA policies/guidelines and reports known or suspected violationsAttends monthly and annual required training (e.g., Safety, HACCP, HR topics, LOTO, PIT)Performs other duties, as assigned.Job Requirements:At least three (3) months of relevant operator experience with one or a combination of employers At least four (4) months of continuous employment with one employer in the past two (2) yearsHigh School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred, but not requiredForklift/Mule/PIT experience preferred, but not requiredBasic computer skills to navigate systems and perform data entryExperience with inventory control methods preferredAbility to record information using company-provided forms and proceduresAbility to accurately perform math functions: addition, subtraction, multiplication, divisionAbility to report to work as scheduled and work scheduled hours to meet job expectations, have flexibility to work other jobs, as needed, and work weekends and overtime, as neededAbility to work professionally and respectfully with others while demonstrating positive interpersonal skills, and communicates effectively with all team members and managementStrong attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughnessAbility to identify, act with a sense of urgency, and resolve problems/inconsistencies, getting help from management or others, as neededRequires standing, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching above, below, and at shoulder levelMust be able to use both arms/hands and legs/feet to operate forklifts or electric pallet and hand jacksAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 60 lbs. below waist, at waist level, and above shoulder levelAbility to work while standing or walking on hard floors for a period of up to 8-10 hours/dayAbility to climb up and down stairs/ladders to get to/from work areas and to work at elevated levels and various heights and in confined spaces, as neededAbility to work in an environment where extreme temperatures range seasonally from hot/warm to cold/freezing, where conditions may be damp and/or wet, and concrete floors may be slippery in some areasAbility to perform repetitive motions, flex/grip with wrists/hands, and use tools (e.g., box knife, metal scraper)Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection (plugs or muffs), hair net / beard guard, steel-toed boots, and glovesRelocation Assistance Eligible:NoWork Shift: B Shift (United States of America)Hourly Applicants ONLY -You must complete the task after submitting your application to provide additional information to be considered for employment.Tyson is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
