QualificationsCandidate must have a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in the electronic manufacturing industry with emphasis on rework capabilities.Should be able to hand solder and rework a variety of SMT, thru-hole components and wires.Should also have a high attention to detail with recognizing and reworking solder and component defects.Should have experience using a variety of tools for rework i.e. hot air, solder pot, soldering iron tweezers etc.Must be able to read, understand assembly and work instructions and be computer literate.Must be able to use small hand tools, magnifying lamps, microscopes, rulers and calipers.Should be able to multi-task and adjust quickly to high paced teamwork environment.Must have experience reading ECO’s and assembly prints.Must be knowledgeable of IPC-610 class II & III / J-STD-001 workmanship standards, IPC-7711/IPC-7721 “Rework and Repair of Electronic Assemblies” specifically with thru-hole components, SMT chips, melfs and gull wing leads, J-leads, circuit repair and laminate repair. Must also know component polarity, color code and value.Should also be receptive to cross training in other areas when needed.SCHEDULE: 2nd shift - typical starting time between 2:00-3:00pm LANGUAGE SKILLS Must demonstrate the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, procedures, government regulations (Mil specs) and manufacturing processes and procedures. Must be able to communicate effectively through verbal and/or written methods with peers and management.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Must have basic math skills i.e. add, subtract, multiply, divide and knowledge of standard and metric measurements. REASONING ABILITY Must be able to solve practical problems, ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for long periods of time, Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs, but not to exceed without assistance, type and/or write.
