What you'll be contributing: The Assistant Terminal Manager performs procedures for loading trucks and unloading railroad cars. This position assists with office work and performs maintenance. Loads trucks timely and operates a computerized loading system. Unloads railroad cars on time to ensure efficient customer service. Operates silos and compressors. Performs responsibilities of the Terminal Manager when the Terminal Manager is absent. To succeed in this position, you will need: High school graduation or equivalent is required. Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc. Willingness to learn, training will be provided. Minimum of 1 year of experience in cement or related product terminal Knowledge of terminal operation policies and procedures. Skill in using terminal equipment and computerized systems. Ability to operate all terminal equipment and office machines, including railcar vibrators, silos and related equipment, switch engine, and rail cars. Ability to work under supervision with standard practice procedures and guidelines. Ability to refer problems to supervisor for guidance. Mild exposure to cement dust, heat, cold, and noise requires compliance with specified safety guidelines and procedures. Occasionally lifting up to 80 pounds.
