Adhere to affiliate goals and policies on professionalism, wait time in-clinic, and on the system for addressing client complaints. Use nonjudgmental approach to patient care. Demonstrate teamwork and dependability with colleagues. Attend medical meetings, as required. May be deployed to other sites including San Bernardino County locations. Required to take after-hour calls (on-call rotation).  Heath Center Duties: Meet or exceed customer satisfaction survey benchmarks as set by the Patient Services Administration team. Participate in health center efforts to achieve established goals for productivity, cycle times, and wait times. Document patient data accurately and completely in the medical record. Provide pregnancy test, contraception, and STI treatment visits per RN Standardized Procedures, as approved. Dispense/administer medications and contraceptive devices as per physician/clinician or standing orders. Provide information and education regarding reproductive health care; family planning, pre-term labor, labor and delivery, breastfeeding, postpartum care, abortion procedure (surgical & medical) and discharge instructions. Monitor lab reconciliation process per policy. Review lab reports and initiate follow-up. Provide laboratory tests as needed, including phlebotomy. Manage emergency situations as they arise in the center and consult with other licensed providers as necessary. Daily performance of controls and completion of control logs for moderate complexity tests. Daily monitoring and recording of medication, controls, and specimen refrigerators for temperature accuracy. Manage medication inventory including ordering, and confirmation of expiration dates when stocking and administering medications. Assist with clinic upkeep: sterilization of instruments, cleaning lab, and exam rooms, set up and restocking rooms as appropriate. Complete and submit incident report when necessary. Perform monthly chart audits, as required. Participate in a regularly scheduled peer review process, as required. Cross-train with case management duties.  Surgical Duties: Provide continuity of care for abortion services in a patient-centered flow environment. Counsel and perform physical exams on abortion patients. Review medical history and perform pre-operative assessment. Perform Ultrasound. Perform appropriate lab work. Insertion and removal of IV line. Provide contraceptive counseling. Provide conscious sedation. Perform recovery room responsibilities. Review discharge orders and counsel patients on discharge instructions. Assist Sedation Provider with opening and closing narcotic inventory management. Report changes in the resident's eating habits to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.• Keep residents' water pitchers clean and filled with fresh water (on each shift), and within easy reach of the resident.• Perform after meal care (i.e., remove trays, clean resident's hands, face, clothing, etc.).• Participate in and receive the nursing report upon reporting for duty.• Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with our established policies and procedures, and as instructed by your supervisors.• Follow work assignments, and/or work schedules in completing and performing your assigned tasks.• Cooperate with inter-departmental personnel, as well as other facility personnel to ensure that nursing services can be adequately maintained to meet the needs of the residents.• Notify the facility when you will be late or absent from work.• Report occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and hazardous chemicals in accordance with the facility's policies and procedures governing accidents and incidents.• Assist residents with daily functions (dental and mouth care, bath functions, combing of hair, dressing and undressing as necessary).• Keep residents dry (change gown, clothing and linens, when it becomes wet or soiled).• Assist residents in preparing for medical tests (i.e., lab work, x-ray, therapy, dental, etc.).• Assist with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting residents into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.• Perform restorative and rehabilitative procedures as instructed.• Assist in preparing the resident for a physical examination.• Check each resident routinely to ensure that his/her personal care needs are being met in accordance with his/her wishes.• Observe and report the presence of pressure areas and skin breakdowns to prevent decubitus ulcers (bedsores).• Report injuries of an unknown source, including skin tears.• Observe disoriented and comatose residents.
