Performs geotechnical report writing. Reviews project plans and specifications prepared by others. Attends client site meetings. Communicates effectively with client and project teams. Works on one or multiple projects at a time. May perform on-site observations, sample collection, and specific tests. May work both in the field and laboratory regularly. What it takes to be successful in this role: Bachelor's Degree in Civil and/or Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited/ABET school is required Recent Graduates will be considered 2+ years of geotechnical engineering or construction materials testing experience is required PE is preferred Ability to obtain PE certification within 6 months of hire is required Knowledge and experience in engineering software (GeoStudio, APILE, LPILE, GROUP, SHAFT, SLIDE, Settle3 and MSEW) are preferred Effective communication skills (written, verbal and listening) and solid interpersonal skills are required The ability to read and understand work plans is required Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed May travel up to 10% of time Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record required Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, move, push, and pull 30 to 50 pounds occasionally. Additional requirements may be needed for specific sites/locations. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound.
