This individual will grow and mentor a team and collaborate closely with their counterparts across Apparel, Accessories, Graphics, Color and Product Development. As a part of this motivated and ambitious team, you will bring your personal experiences in the industry, to bring new products and technologies to life. A portfolio is required during application for this role, and we look forward to reviewing your work. We want to see your personal design aesthetic and thought process, the crazier the better!Responsibilities:• Lead and manage footwear designers across various categories, projects, and initiatives.• Act as an inspirational and reliable mentor, leader, and coach to your team.• Lean into all aspects of design and product creation and cross-functional work with color, graphics, materials, and innovation.• Act as a thought partner to design leadership and help shape our long-term strategy.• Collaborate with Graphics + Color team to establish graphics, all-over prints, graphic color-ups, mood boards, themes, and overarching strategic vision.• Lead in-depth research in order to drive innovative design solutions.Qualifications:• 10+ years’ experience in footwear design, preferably in athletic or activewear• Experience with creative direction and strategic design work.• Experience working with color, color-ups, and graphics.• Well-versed in footwear terminology• Strong working knowledge of performance footwear technology• Bachelor's Degree in a design field OR equivalent relevant experience• Experience hiring and leading a team• Fluent in hand sketching, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign• Positive energy and the ability to inspire teammates in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment• Independently motivated, proactive, and resourceful• Must be able to handle a significant amount of projects while maintaining development timelines and deadlines and work distribution among team members• Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills• Occasional travel to Asia
