As a SQL Engineer, you will primarily focus on identifying stored procedures that require refactoring or performance enhancement within the application. This role involves working closely with the development team to ensure the efficiency and reliability of the application's SQL codebase.Responsibilities:Identify stored procedures within the Legacy application that require refactoring or performance improvement.Collaborate with the development team to prioritize and address production tickets related to SQL performance and optimization.Work closely with the team to understand the business logic and functionality of the Legacy System.Participate in discussions and meetings to gather requirements and provide insights into SQL-related issues.Support ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting of SQL-related issues within the application.Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including team members, managers, and other departments.Requirements:5+ years of experience as a SQL Engineer, preferably in a large enterprise environment.Proficiency in SQL development, optimization, and performance tuning.Strong experience in identifying and refactoring stored procedures for improved performance.Familiarity with .NET development and SQL Server technologies.Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Availability to work primarily during US Central Time Zone working hours.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.Additional Information:This role involves supporting a legacy system built primarily using .NET and SQL Server technologies.Performance benchmarks are not currently established, providing an opportunity for the SQL Engineers to contribute to enhancing the application's performance.Here at Emids we're not scared of differences.
