The CDL Laboreris a new position here, where you will support the team in a few areas like labor, operating, loading/unloading, and small driving. In this role you will support all phases of utility construction for various types of telecom projects. Duties will include general labor duties related to telecommunications construction as directed by the Foreman/Supervisor. What You'll Do Requirments: + Install and maintenance of underground telecommunications cabling. + Operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery. + Dig trenches, back-fill excavations, and compact & level earth to grade specifications + Transport materials and equipment + Load & unload equipment and material as needed + Hand dig using shovel, mechanical tools. + Follow all on-site safety procedures + Ensure contents & equipment are properly secured during transportation + Comply with all DOT regulations and rules + Perform daily vehicle pre-trip inspections and JHAn What You'll Bring Qualifications: + Possess a valid CDL class A + Excellent time management skills + Preferred experience operating heavy equipment and machinery + Clean driving record (no more than 2 tickets in the last 5 years) + Strong focus on quality and safety Preferred Qualifications: + Previous construction experience, preferably in the telecommunication industry. + Able to perform all duties in telecommunication construction + Ability to travel. The outside work environment will vary throughout the day including changes in terrain, traffic, urban settings, and/or rural settings. This position may occasionally be exposed to natural gas and to the risk of electrical shock. Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels.
