HCA Solutions is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist for the Federal Correctional Center (FCC) Coleman in Coleman, FL!Work Monday through Friday (except Federal holidays), normally between the hours of 0800 a.m. - 3:30 with a 30-minute unpaid lunch period. The PT schedule shall not exceed 37.5 hours per week. Occasionally, may be requested to work a special schedule when needed. Due to the nature of the correctional setting, delays in performance of work may be experienced.The Physical Therapist for BOP inmates that are medically complex outpatient inmates within the correctional facility. These inmates will require at least monthly evaluations by primary care physicians and may have limitations in their ability to perform activities of daily living, but do not require daily nursing care. Incumbent is responsible for performing physical therapy evaluations, formulating objective treatment plans, and providing treatments for patients (inmates) referred by other medical staff. The incumbent must plan, implement and administer treatments utilizing various accepted techniques which include, but are not limited to: therapeutic exercise; manual therapy; functional training; prescription, application, and/or fabrication of devices and equipment; integumentary repair and protection; and electrotherapeutic, physical, and mechanical modalities. Incumbent at times will work at times with a Physical Therapy assistant for which he/she will create treatment plans.All duties shall be performed in accordance with standards and methods generally accepted within the field of Physical Therapy Services, and compliance with all Federal and State policy and regulations. The contractor shall adhere to all standards and regulations associated with the Joint Commission (JC) and American Correctional Association Foundation/Core Standards for Adult Correctional Institutions. Provides physical therapy services. Evaluates patients, sets goals, plans programs and treats patients according to the physician's orders; maintains required records and notes; assists with directing technicians and support personnel; assumes responsibility for physical therapy charges; participates in educational programs, follows all departmental policy and procedures.Responsibilities:Maintains consistency with Administrative and Departmental policies with appropriate behavior, dress, attitude, attendance, confidentiality, professionalism, and reliability.Performs professional duties related to patient care in order to restore the patient to his/her maximum level of independence and functions according to accepted standards of ethical conduct for the physical therapist.Clinical competencies in physical therapy skills and techniques are demonstrated in a manner that promotes quality patient care.Participates in established inter-departmental and intra-departmental communication systems and methods to achieve departmental, hospital and corporate goals.Maintains required records/documentations as specified in department policy and procedures manual.Participates in maintainingimproving the effectiveness of the services provided by the physical therapy department.Assumes responsibility for therapeutic equipment safety, operation and maintenance.Requirements:Doctorate of Physical Therapy preferredBasic Computer Knowledge Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.New graduate entry level or any amount of experience in physical therapy is acceptable.Maintain current registration license in Texas and provide the hospital with a copy.Maintain BCLS certification.
