The Chemical Blender blends and batches raw materials, samples batches, and records data.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for processing formulas and blending products for shipmentResponsible for decanting chemical into containers as specified in related proceduresResponsible for all shipping and receiving dutiesQuarantine suspect chemical material and report to ManagementReport process and/or safety equipment issues to ManagementPerform preventative maintenance on equipment as requiredReport findings to Manager to ensure adequate inventory and raw materials are in the plantOperate a sit-down forkliftSelect products for outbound ordersReceive product (bulk and packaged) for inbound ordersLoad and unload trucksPerform preventative maintenance and participate in general upkeep of production equipmentMaintain daily logs and record plant operating dataEffectively, timely, and respectfully communicate and interact with other employees, supervisors, individuals from other organizations, and customersCollect raw materialsEnsure supplies are distributed as required throughout the facilityNeatly store supplies and empty containersInform Purchasing when supplies need to be re-orderedGeneral housekeeping of the plant and surrounding areasClean and store safety equipment for re-useReport process and/or safety equipment issues to Production SupervisorComply with all safety requirements within the companyComply with all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and safe handling practices as required from Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and company proceduresFollow WHMIS, MSDS and all other safety training requirements and proceduresFollow all government and regulatory requirements when handling and transporting chemical materialsPerform other duties as assigned or neededRegular and sustained attendanceQUALIFICATIONS2-Years chemical batch and blending experience [liquid and solids]2-Years experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution facility2-Years operating a sit-down forkliftExperience with warehouse management softwareProficient in Microsoft Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Dynamics [D365]Must be able to read and write load diagrams, shipping orders, and work instructionsMust be able to operate electronic equipment, such as RF scanners or radios as assignedPass forklift driving exam (pre-offer)Ability to collaborate effectively and efficiently with colleaguesEffective communication skills and time managementAbility to stand and/or walk for extended periods of timeAbility to collaborate effectively and efficiently with colleaguesStrong communication skills and time managementEDUCATION REQUREMENTSHigh School Diploma or GED equivalentOTHER INFORMATION This position works in an enclosed building that is subject to variances in temperatures, extreme heat in summer, and colder temperature in winter. This position frequently lifts, pushes, pulls or carries up to 50 pounds of product. This position can work various hours.
