ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Operate D-10 Dozer equipped with concave blade attached across front to gouge out, level, and distribute petroleum from storage to re-claimer, from processing units/pit to storage in a safe and efficient manner.Operate bulldozer in successive passes over terrain to raise or lower terrain to specified grade.Operate Front End Loader, Bobcat, Manlift, and Track Hoe and Forklift.Maintain all mobile and stationary equipment by performing preventive maintenance, i.e.: lubricating, cleaning, greasing, adding gear lubricants and other minor maintenance and repairs; documents all activity performed.Train on overhead crane inside Shell Refinery by engaging levers and brakes to load product from pit to the hoppers.Train on doing cable job on Shell overhead cranes operating within the Coker Pits (Unit).Train on remote controlled ship loader by engaging push buttons on the remote to distribute coke according to stowage plan and ships chief mate instructions, insure satisfactory loading of the vessel and watch for safety of the ship loader during operation.Assist coworkers and maintenance crew on various jobs.Participate in and promote safety and environmental programs.Perform all work in compliance with company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Position Requirements Minimum Requirements include: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is required.A minimum of eight months to one year experience in Heavy equipment especially D9 dozers, track hoes, etc. COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be able to effectively communicate verbally.Must be willing to work day or night shift schedule as assigned and overtime with little to no notice during the week, weekends, holiday, etc. as needed for operational needs.In order to appropriately perform the essential duties of this job, regular work attendance is required. Mechanic - Level 1 - Pasadena

Basic Purpose: To provide inspection, preventive maintenance, and repair on lift trucks as directed by Service Center Manager.Nature and Scope: The Mechanic Level I reports directly to the Service Center Manager. His/her primary duties are to inspect, diagnose, and repair lift trucks. The incumbent must know how to use diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and test in order to arrive at a correct diagnosis. Once determination of problem is made, the Mechanic I will schedule and perform the work necessary to make such repairs, which may include working on gasoline, diesel, and propane engines, repair cooling, fuel, electrical, and exhaust systems using diagnostic tools as needed. The incumbent will also be required to perform preventative maintenance as needed to improve condition and performance of equipment.The incumbent will plan and coordinate large repair projects, estimating time, and material needed. He/she will diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems and will have the ability to fabricate and weld as needed to repair equipment. The incumbent will ensure projects are completed in a timely and cost effective manner. He/she will maintain records of all maintenance performed.This incumbent will consult with the Service Center Manager if problems are encountered that require more expert analysis or if instruction/assistance is needed for new or unusual situations that may develop.He/she will keep work area clean and maintain the garage area as needed. As requested by supervisor, he/she may perform other related duties.Principal Accountabilities: Inspect lift trucks to determine the extent of repairs.
