This strategic candidate will be responsible for develop clients and engineering opportunities, develop teams working with multiple Tetra Tech engineering resources and support the project execution on all engineering activities across a variety of renewable project types and services.The Seller/Doers will be involved in establishing teams, hiring additional resources as well as client business development to sell and provide a variety of engineering services that support the development, design, construction, and operation of waste to energy initiatives. Services may include but not limited to, due diligence, feasibility, detailed design, owners engineering, independent engineering. Our ideal candidates will have pre-existing client relationships and a proven track record of winning work within the renewable energy market. The ideal candidates will be able to lead by example and understand the team's responsibilities because they have performed the same tasks in a previous role.Responsibilities of this position will include interpretation of federal, state and local agency regulations, preparation and review of project work products, including site specific technical data, calculations, technical reports, construction plans and specifications, cost estimates, environmental permit applications, and permit terms and conditions.For the ideal candidate, this position will combine project work and some business development. You will also effectively and efficiently perform the following: Estimated 70/30: doer/seller model. Independently perform engineering calculations, direct CADD in the formation of ideas into design drawings, write reports, prepare permit applications, and make project decisions with the oversight of senior client managers. Work in all phases of a project from feasibility studies to construction/startup, including preparation of drawings, plans, specifications, reports, bid documents, and certifications. Analyze reports, maps, drawings, calculations, and facility operational/environmental data. Prepare construction cost estimations. Prepare design reports. Stamp/certify designs. Oversee construction projects to monitor progress and ensure conformance to engineering plans, specifications, and construction and safety standards. Plan, develop, coordinate, and help direct work for multi-project clients, and multiple clients. Support business development initiatives for continued work with key clients and business sectors. Maintain the quality control on projects and on administrative tasks. Manage multiple smaller company priorities and projects. Prepare proposals for mid to large-size projects, including the development of technical plans, schedules, and project budget estimates, and preparation with staff. Periodic travel to project sites. Your Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or above in engineering or related environmental field. Focused in civil, structural or machinal engineering field. Holds a Professional Engineering license. Experience 8 years minimum in the below fields: Solid waste management Waste to energy markets Facility (e.g. transfer station, recycling facility, materials recovery facility) development Project management experience, including budgets, schedules, and invoicing. Solid organizational and time management skills. Self-disciplined/motivated individual who works well in a team environment. Located in the northeastern states with a preference for Florida area. Proficiency with computer usage for document preparation including MS Word and Excel, and engineering software related to your field. Working knowledge of computer-aided design software; (e.g., AutoCAD, C3D, Revit, etc.). Strong communication, interpersonal, and developing leadership skills. Ability to communicate clearly and regularly with project manager/team. Strong analytical/technical skills. Regulatory experience is a plus, but not required. Established client relationships are a plus.
