Provides clinical direction and guidance to Licensed Practical Nurses and direct care staff, provides direct patient nursing care and treatment within the scope of licensure, in a correctional setting. Performs patient care in a clinic or hospital setting. Administer medications, transcribe and carry out doctor's orders, assess patients utilizing protocols, triage. Assist in moving patients.REQUIREMENTS: A current license in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska or authority based on the Nurse Licensure Compact to practice as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska. PREFERRED: Experience in assigning, reviewing, leading, or supervising the work of others. OTHER: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance. Will complete four to eight weeks of on the job training. Must submit to background security check. Applicants accepting a job offer must pass the pre-employment medical examination and a drug test.
