Responsibilities Consistently deliver content that meets set criteria and is on time to support our program launch roadmap Create new and revised lesson content for the online program curriculum Use AI platforms like ChatGPT to generate content and then review and validate that content for accuracy and relevance Validate and refine the list of objectives, skills, and topics taught in the curriculum Create assets to support lesson plans, student activities, and written curriculum content such as: Formative and summative assessments Individual projects and presentations Video scripts for topic and demonstration videos Visual assets and/or reference images (diagrams, charts) and sample templates as needed Iterate on deliverables based on user and instructional design feedback Requirements 3+ years of industry experience in Data Engineering Demonstrated subject matter expert in the following topics: SQL Python Data warehouses (e.g., snowflake, redshift) Github NoSQL ETL tools (e.g., Airflow) Tableau Amazon Web Services (AWS) APIs Web scraping Previous experience developing curriculum for adults in topics like data analytics, data science, data engineering, or other technical areas Collaborative (e.g., you enjoy partnering with people and have excellent project management skills and follow through) Excellent writing skills (e.g., you can produce high-quality prose as well as high-quality presentations. You have a gift for writing about complicated concepts in a beginner-friendly way, and can appropriately scaffold content for beginners) Comfort with scripting and recording demo videos Capable of remote work. You enjoy collaborating and partnering with people in a remote environment and have excellent project management skills and follow through. SUMMARYSupervises employees who maintain and repair electrical, plumbing, ventilation, refrigeration, and other building systems within NNSA Nevada. Perform systems evaluations on facilities and determine what installation or repair services need to be performed, manage a budget, and create calculations to ensure operational efficiencies. Develop and oversee the preventative maintenance program. Assist in the hiring and training of workers, arranging their schedules, and work activities. Coordinates with Safety Manager to ensure a safe and responsible work environment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:• Assign and schedule work tasks with other facility technicians in a team-oriented environment and perform initial evaluations of building systems and distribute work assignments.• Evaluate team members’ individual performances to ensure quality operations and investigate all accidents caused by team members and prepare relevant reports.• Work with the customer to evaluate needs for all work requests both scheduled and unscheduled as well as any special projects that arise.• Coordinate and follow up on preventative maintenance on refrigeration units, plumbing, electrical, overhead doors, and any other mechanical systems.• Coordinate and assist in repairs involving basic electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.• Read blueprints and plan projects to complete assigned tasks, and coordinate and follow up on incidental carpentry, masonry, and painting and plaster work. Edit As-Built drawings as necessary.• Review and maintain maintenance logs and maintenance budgets and complete all documentation necessary to the completion of a task.• Instruct team in how to dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with established OSHA procedures.• Use and operate heavy machinery including a forklift.• Purchase equipment and materials for team and projects as needed. Document purchases utilizing appropriate procedures.• Ensure that all work is performed in the safest manner compliant with all applicable OSHA and safety regulations per the Safety Manager’s guidance.• Be available after typical work hours and/or on weekends to respond to emergency situations at assigned facility.• Coordinate with new vendors and/or maintain network of vendors for subcontract work.• Other duties may be assigned.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE• 4-year college degree in engineering.• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in facilities management.• Proficient in Microsoft Office - Good computer skills are essential.• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, collaboration and problem-solving skills preferred.• Have, or be capable of obtaining, a Department of Energy (DOE) L Clearance; Q Clearance preferred.• Qualified Electrical Worker.• Forklift certification/experience preferred.REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/CLEARANCES:• Must drive a company vehicle on a military installation.• Must maintain a valid driver’s license.COMMUNICATION SKILLSMust have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, managers and staff members.
