Creating maps/drawings as necessary to assist in estimating costs for plant/drop extensions if location is beyond acceptable distance from existing plant.Performing underground facility locates accurately using plant maps and electronic locating equipment in order to prevent cable damage and service interruptions.Performing construction maintenance duties as necessary including: splicing aerial/underground coaxial and/or fiber optic cables and equipment to restore cable plant to system specification; splicing and activating new coaxial plant; repairing and/or replacing damaged aerial/underground plant; and inspecting, repairing and/or replacing power supplies.Continuously monitoring plant for ingress/egress and performs signal leakage ride-out activities and tracks and repairs signal leakage, as necessary.Training system technical personnel as directed by local system management. Qualifications One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
