This requires the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment under demanding time constraints; understand and discuss fundamental accounting concepts; and ensure a high level of compliance with financial policies, internal controls, and SEC, GAAP, FERC, and variance state regulatory requirements. **Accountabilities** + Track fuel inventory levels and calculate cost of fuel consumed for the electric and gas utilities. + Actively participate in the monthly financial closing process by performing analysis, managing data, communicating with accounting and other staff, preparing journal entries, reviewing financial data, and performing account reconciliations. + Calculate and track fuel adjustment clause (FAC) over-under balances for multiple jurisdictions, for the electric utility. + Track purchase gas cost adjustment (PGA) over-under balances for multiple jurisdictions, for the gas utilities. + Coordinate and analyze internal (SOX) controls under the direction of management. Work closely with internal and external auditors. + Support regulatory filings, responses to regulatory data requests, and preparation of ad hoc analysis and reporting for regulatory compliance purposes. + Assist with budget versus actual analysis. + Support other units of business including operations and regulatory functions.
