This involves conducting both planned preventative maintenance of equipment, daily corrective work, and emergency response to emergent issues. The EOT serves as an operator as well as a first-line resource reporting to a site’s Data Center Facility Manager (FM), receiving daily instruction from the Chief Engineer (CE) and interacting with third party vendors. The EOT maintains training compliance as related to their role of operating, troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment. This equipment includes, but is not limited to: * Stand-by emergency generators* Low and medium voltage electrical systems* Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS)* Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS)* Chilled water systems* Water treatment systems* Building automation systems* Fire detection and air quality monitoring systems* Server racks Also expected from the EOT is the ability to execute small-to-medium impacting projects from conception to completion. These projects involve moderate amounts of independent work as well as collaboration with external support groups including engineering, automation, processing, and finance in controlled environments. The EOT will be tasked with creating and delivering on key milestones, obtaining and tracking quotes for all necessary costs, and documenting project results. The goals of such projects are to drive innovation and resiliency while reducing operational costs in the facilities.
