DescriptionDelivery and Transport Specialist - University PrintingJOB SUMMARY:Serve the department by making all pick-up and delivery of hard copy proofs, completed print jobs, and materials used in production. Travel to both on and off campus locations daily as needed. Pick up and deliver supplies and completed projects to/from vendor partners. Deliver secured accountable papers to the UT System offices as needed. Ensure that delivery vehicles are maintained and fueled. Provide exceptional customer service to all internal and external customers. Maintain a clean driving record and immediately report any incidents or accidents. Assist in the warehouse with shipping, receiving, stocking and pulling inventory for projects as needed. Assist with inventory, bindery and other production operations, and miscellaneous cross-departmental deliveries as needed. QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:1 year operating various types of delivery vehicles - small and large vans, large and small box trucks with lift gates.Ability to read maps and follow specific directions to make timely deliveries and meet customer deadlines.Ability to load, unload and deliver print products ranging from single boxes to palletized loads (with assistance as needed) to designated office locations and loading docks using material handling equipment such as hand trucks and pallet jacks - sometimes delivery involves going up and down stairs. Must be able to perform strenuous physical activity consistently for their full shift.
