Participate in the writing of exam questions based on COMLEX-USA and USMLE styles. Maintain scholarly activities, including application for research grants, dissemination of research findings in peer-reviewed journals, and conference attendance. Mentor research projects involving osteopathic medical students' participation. Act as a faculty advisor and participate in selection of students. Participate in the university and college committee services.The successful candidate will help improve and deliver the curriculum and education of osteopathic medical students in the area of physiology and the integration of that discipline into the overall curriculum. Performs other duties as assigned.Educational Requirements for the Position:A PhD, DO, MD or equivalent terminal degree in a related field from an accredited university is required.Experience Required for the Position:At least four years of teaching experience to medical students is required. Preference will be given to a candidate who has teaching experience at an osteopathic medical school and an understanding of integrating osteopathic principles into curriculum development.Good interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, and the ability to work cooperatively. Leadership skills and vision for enhancing the academic components of a multi-disciplinary department are essential.
