Primary responsibilities and activities will be carrying out experiments needed for research projects, performing breeding and research activities on mice, ordering and stocking lab supplies, participating in the production of data necessary for research manuscripts. Previous experience with animal handling and cell culture; maintaining timely and accurate laboratory records and coordination with other lab members to ensure efficient, timely and high-quality results. Conducts experiments, under general guidance, according to research plans. Research activities may include some or all of the following: traditional laboratory experiments and activities, informatics, and training and/or animal procedures. Collects, evaluates, and interprets research data to provide needed information to principal investigators and other researchers. Coordinate the work of laboratory technicians to ensures timely and high quality results. Stays up to date with new, related, and updated protocols related to designated research project(s). The position will focus on research working with children and families with mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and suicidality.
