This position is extremely fast paced and is one that gets to spend time in all departments shopping for our customers and filling their online orders.Order fillers and delivery associates also get to dispense orders to our customers and engage them in conversation throughout the dispensing process. The pace can be intense, especially in the evenings, on weekends, and during a holiday season. Availability:Monday-Friday, 8 hour shifts between the hours of 8:00am-5:00pm (exact schedules vary by camp) Location: The bus will be parked at one location (to be determined) and will pick up and take one camp each day to/from their field trip location. This bus route will serve camps in Stanwood-Camano, Mukilteo, and Marysville. If needed, it may help with routes for camps in Everett, Mill Creek, and Monroe. Position Summary: Provide safe transportation to and from program sites and field trip destinations. When not driving: supervise a group of campers while on field trips, may be asked to facilitate activities. Assist with route planning and directions. May also provide support in other areas as assigned. Job Title: Straight Truck Driver / Digital Learning Bus Driver This driver will support both truck driving and delivery, as well as operating our digital equity bus in Snohomish County and further north. Salary: $25 hourly About the Position The Straight Truck Driver operates Goodwill commercial vehicles transferring donation containers and/or processed goods in a safe and efficient manner. Handles assigned donation station duties demonstrating service to donors and business partners. Responsible for business to business pickups, as well as donation bin routes and regional donation station support. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. Drive commercial vehicles to designated locations including, but not limited to, inner city traffic. Responsible for pre/post trip inspection of Goodwill vehicles, including Digital Learning Bus. Drive Digital Learning Bus to events. Responsible to collect, sort and stack donations in collection containers to sustain production plant and retail operations. Drive and maintain company vehicles in a safe, efficient manner and maintain clean and safe work environment. Adhere to Evergreen Goodwill rules and regulations for operating commercial vehicles. Transport donation containers and processed goods from donation sites and businesses to Goodwill Outlets or stores. Transport waste to transfer station. Pick up special donations from both the business and the private sector and deliver goods as requested. Assist donors in unloading donations, explain donation criteria and provide tax receipts. Evaluate donated items to determine if acceptable for donation. Sort donations into assigned categories and pack safely into container. Inform supervisor and/or coordinator of status of station, nature and condition of donations and pickup variables. Maintain accurate and timely donor tallies, departmental paperwork, and other support duties. Build and maintain internal and external customer satisfaction. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Demonstrates safe work practices through awareness and observation in support of a safety culture; reports any potential hazards or accidents. Other duties as assigned.
