Position Overview Field Service Tech (Mechanic), typically work Monday-Friday 6am-3:30pm. In this position, you will troubleshoot and diagnose problems on various types of heavy equipment and make necessary repairs to the equipment. These duties would include all aspects of providing end user customers with a timely and efficient service experience and may require overtime. Job Description:?Provide technical work in the detailed cost estimating, project management, designing, materials procurement and construction of substation additions to MidAmerican Energy Company's energy delivery system. Apply established engineering standards and practices in the design of new substation facilities. Prepare specifications, drawings and contracts. Provide substation technical assistance to other areas within MidAmerican Energy Company. Provide project management for a portion or all phases of substation project additions to MidAmerican Energy Company's energy delivery system, including cost estimating, scheduling, materials procurement, resource management and coordination, cost tracking and cost projections.
