GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:The Anesthesia Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for the assessment and management of ambulatory surgical patients throughout the care continuum: pre-operative evaluations, diagnostic and therapeutic interpretation, development of appropriate plans of care, post-operative recovery, and post-discharge follow-up.
