And we’re just getting started.We are seeking a self-motivated, ownership-minded, and nimble Principal UX Program Manager to be a force-multiplier for the Amazon Business UX Design & Research teams, amplifying our efforts and impact. You will be a key member of the leadership team, with the freedom to experiment, improve, invent, and innovate on behalf of tens of millions of customers around the world. This position requires the ability to work quickly, while delivering high-quality outputs in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment. The ideal candidate possesses an excellent understanding of UX processes, razor-sharp project management skills, and is adept at navigating a complex, multi-org technical environment, while focusing on advocating for the customer at all times.Key job responsibilities• Lead design delivery by managing team backlogs and removing obstacles, coordinating reviews with stakeholders and leadership, communicating team status, and empowering designers to own their timelines.• Implement repeatable processes and tools to help the team plan, prioritize, and drive multiple high-priority parallel projects.• Act as a bridge between UX, Engineering, and Product Management (PM) teams, understanding and accounting for interdependencies between all three groups.• Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and balance the customer needs versus business goals and technical constraints.• Standardize, socialize, and continuously improve our user-centered design process.• Enable creative solutions by leveraging design acumen, high judgement, and knowledge of business and customer experience best practices.• Define success metrics and be responsible for ensuring their implementation for all our work.• Promote a sense of transparency, visibility, and community among our team.About the teamYou’ll join a fun, growing team of UX practitioners who help each other develop and thrive. The base pay for this position ranges from $123,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
