Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for administering and interpreting a variety of tests to determine the type and degree of hearing impairment, such as air and bone conduction, and speech reception and discrimination tests, the site of damage, and effects on comprehension and speech. Evaluates test results in relation to behavioral, social, educational and conduct medical record reviews of past audiograms and documents to determine the likely cause of the hearing loss, and to state the prognosis and address the issues of hearing loss and tinnitus. Operates computerized programs and utilizes application software and databases in order to enter, modify, and access information into/from electronic medical records, and utilizing report writing formats. Maintains patient confidentiality with written and verbal information per HIPAA. Responsible for conducting otoscopic examinations, cerumen management, and calibration checks of audiometric equipment. You will also have the ability to travel (up to 50%) to provide audiology examinations for clients in multiple locations throughout the country. Processes routine paperwork and files reports.• Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes. • Position radiologic equipment and adjust controls to set exposure factors according to specification of examination. • Follows established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety. • Maintains examination rooms. Stocks necessary medical and radiologic supplies.• Cleans and makes minor adjustments to radiologic equipment. Schedules routine maintenance. Develops and monitors an ongoing QI program with targeted QI aspects of care to be reported on a routine basis.
