What really happens behind the closed doors of an operating room? What do the masked doctors, nurses and technicians do inside those rooms? Find out on Saturday, February 3, when the Seton Family of Hospitals presents the Mock Surgery and Cardiac Cath Lab Tour. The annual event gives visitors the opportunity to learn what happens during a surgical procedure. The self-paced tour includes hands-on demonstrations and mock surgical procedures, performed and explained by Seton staff. The tour will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Seton Medical Center Austin located at 1201 W. 38th Street, with free parking available at Medical Park Tower, directly east of the hospital. Admission is free. Begin the self-paced tour at the north entrance on 38th Street.
