Overview:

We are a bank invested in people. For more than 140 years, we’ve focused on meeting our customers’ financial needs with simply the best service. How? With a team of people like you. Individuals who – for as different as they are – share a few incredibly important things: honesty, passion, and a real commitment to people. Headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, Huntington holds assets that total more than $50 billion. With more than 600 regional banking offices, 1,400 ATMs, and a technologically advanced telephone bank, we provide innovative retail and commercial financial products and services to customers in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. So when it comes to growing our team, we don’t do it like just any bank would. We do it differently. We do it the Huntington way!

Culture:

We like to think of ourselves as a local bank with national resources. We are a bank that is not so large that associates and customers feel lost, yet not so small they don’t have access to resources they need. We like to think it’s just one of the things that makes us distinctive. Because we are A Local Bank. We really get to know our customers and their families because we live in the communities we serve. We understand their hopes and dreams. And because they know us, they trust us to help them make the financial decisions that best meet their needs. Because we have National Resources. Behind each local office is a team of national resources that provide dependable support, reliable information and offer competitive products. Our footprint spans across several states and includes hundreds of banking offices and over 1,400 ATM locations throughout the Midwest. We think it’s the best of both worlds!

It’s our policy to provide a variety of benefit plans which together help to attract and retain the kind of career associates who contribute to our continuing growth, success and profitability. Time Off Benefits Huntington has a flexible time off benefits program that allows our associates to better manage their time away from home for reasons that are important to them. Our Story:

In 1853, a young man with a big dream came to Columbus, Ohio from Norwich, Connecticut. The man was P. W. Huntington. The dream was to establish a bank that carried both his name and his ideals. Ideals that included the belief that a bank should be more than a place to invest money. It should be a place that also invests in community. A place with not only a fiscal responsibility, but a moral responsibility to its customers – and to its associates. Over the years, the bank that P.W. Huntington established in 1866 has grown, but the principles on which it was founded have remained the same: it’s the people that make a bank great, and it’s the people that must always come first.

Diversity:

Diversity is one of six core values embraced by Huntington. As our Chairman and CEO Tom Hoaglin emphasizes, "In these competitive times, people are drawn to places that value diversity and live that value. We believe that when properly executed, diversity is a competitive advantage for Huntington." Internally, Huntington uses the brand ‘Different. Alike. Together.’ to reinforce a broad understanding of diversity. We further express our definition of diversity as ‘differences that make everyone unique.’ Acknowledging that uniqueness helps us gain a competitive business advantage through leveraging three aspects of diversity—the talent of a diverse labor pool, perspective of a diverse workforce, and buying power of diverse markets. Since we aspire to be the hometown bank throughout our footprint, we also believe the most effective way to serve our markets is to have a workforce that identifies with those communities. Done well, this leads to better banking relationships and better business.
