3rd shift: 11:00pm-7:00am. Monday-Friday with some Saturdays as needed.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  Other duties may be assigned. Abide by, enforce and participate in the implementation and ongoing oversight of all company safety standards and regulations. Complete production work orders by following written or verbal instructions and/or sample assemblies.  Set-up materials, and operate and tend manually controlled and/or automated manufacturing equipment/machine according to guidelines and work instructions.  Activate machine/equipment to start a production cycle. Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed) as needed based on customer/product specifications. Feed raw material to semi-automated machines. Inspect products using measuring tools to ensure conformity to specifications. Check output for mistakes, product flaws and/or product contamination. Test operation of machines periodically, and report issues to the Supervisor. Maintain production records of approved and defective units or final products in accordance with work instruction or standard operating procedures. Recordkeeping done manually or by data entry, such as daily production reports, process checklists, timekeeping, scrap & reject results and/or machine time. Maintain adequate supply of materials needed to perform tasks effectively. Communicate with supervisor and relevant personnel on the condition of the operation/production and any unusual circumstances or issues to facilitate processes and ensure efficient operations. Effectively clean and maintain machinery, equipment, and work areas to ensure proper functioning and safe working conditions. Actively contribute to continuous process improvement.  Participate in training and continuous learning opportunities; meet training and/or certification requirements of the job, department, product or area as designated/defined in work instructions and quality standards.
