Job Summary: Telecom Provisioning Analyst (Wireless)The telecom carrier provisioning analyst role is responsible for procuring, tracking and delivery of off-net wireless data services for the entire Duke Energy telecommunications service territory. The provisioner works with various internal business customers, internal Telecom personnel, and external Telecom carriers to ensure provisioning and delivery of the most cost effective and efficient services to Duke Energy. This function is responsible for discrepancy resolution and assesses and optimizes telecom services throughout the Duke Energy territory. Responsibilities & Duties: + Ensure requests received in a work queue for procurement, change or disconnect of off-net wireless telecommunication services are handled in the most effective manner. + Make decisions about the proper service to order and to ensure that procurement processes are followed. Work with the wireless telecommunication service provider to make sure all information needed for the order is fulfilled. Work with the wireless telecommunication vendors to track progress of the wireless orders, escalating within the carrier organization when needed to insure timely and accurate delivery of services. Inform the Duke Energy engineer, business customer or telecommunication technician when an order will be delayed or when additional information is needed. When an order has been completed, notify the customer and provide him/her with the assignments and accurately enter the circuit information into our circuit inventory systems. + Provide guidance in the assessment, selection, procurement and inventory of wireless services and assets. This includes working with network and radio engineers to order the most cost effective and efficient services, as well as leveraging enterprise telecommunication contracts to order services that fulfill the needs of Duke Energy. + Provide consultation or guidance to project teams to optimize the wireless telecommunication services or to introduce new telecommunication technology. + Assist with billing reviews for new wireless services to ensure that vendors have properly priced the services and that the circuit inventory reflects the services and pricing accurately. Work with the vendor billing department or team’s invoicing analysts when billing information is in error. + Responsible for the accuracy of the inventory systems updates including IP address assignments and relevant information in Tangoe inventory system. + Learn and understand new telecommunication technology as it is implemented in the Duke Energy environment. Groundman - Underground (Duke)

Position Summary: The Underground Groundman is an entry level position in the construction, maintenance and repair of electrical underground distribution systems. This position works at various locations. The position may also be required to travel to another state depending on customer demands. Essential Functions: + Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance or repair work of energized and de-energized underground work. + Setting pad mount transformers. + Frequently works around energized high voltage systems requiring skill and care to protect the lives of themselves and others. + Maintains company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order. + Able to perform rigorous physical labor. + Understands proper use of company radio. + Understand basic rigging, hand lines, and lineman knot tying. + Understand the proper use and maintenance of hand tools. + Capable of receiving and following directions. + Possess a basic knowledge of materials used in line work. + Able to identify primary and secondary voltage on a circuit. + Must be familiar with induced voltage. + Capable of assisting with the installation and hook up of a single phase transformer. + Capable of performing basic bucket rescue/escape. + Understands the basic concepts of equipment set up and grounding. + Capable of working at heights and/or confined spaces. + Understands minimum approach distance. + Understands excavation and shoring requirements. + Capable of checking voltage on transformers. + Capable of installing and removing a service. + Capable of properly inspecting rubber goods and PPE. + Understands when to wear personnel protective equipment. + Must be able to climb different types of structures (wood, steel, etc.) and possess the necessary tools to do so. + Works in underground trenches and manholes. + Understands how and when to use Kellum grips. + Able to identify different types of materials used in line work. + Must be able to work outside, frequently in inclement weather. + Willingness to glove/work live high voltage distribution lines. + Does all other related work as required to complete the job. Other Requirements: + No experience necessary. + Able to read and communicate effectively in English. + Able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days of employment. + A Commercial Driver’s License is preferred. + Able to travel long distances on short notice, when required. + Able to work for extended periods in various locations, when required. + Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs. + Able to properly inspect rubber goods and PPE. + Willing to work over-time when requested.
