The role of the Manufacturing Supervisor is to lead the shop operative team, assigning and directing production resources to meet the production objectives, and manage/monitor shipping and receiving procedures. This individual is responsible for providing daily feedback and recommendations to the engineering team and Operations Manager on matters of status, issues, and requirements. This role reports into the Operations Manager. Essential Responsibilities Manage a team made of fabrication, welding, electrical, paint, and support personnel in a manufacturing capacity Provide continuity to all aspects of manufacturing and production Oversee and drive the safety culture at the site, acting as champion and ensuring safety processes are adhered to Perform personal observation and safety inspections Ensure mobile operated machines and shop machining are inspected and maintained Perform daily team pre-start meeting Identify training needs on the team and develop plans for cross training and development with each associate Utilize enterprise resource planning system for receiving, time management, and information on parts and job objectives Oversee quality control (QC) on new crane manufacturing and work in partnership across departments to develop, maintain, and implement in-process and post-process QC procedures Develop, maintain, and execute the manufacturing schedule Manage shipping, receiving, and inventory bin levels Ensure shop upkeep and cleanliness, maintaining a "Tour Ready" standard Cross department collaboration with engineer and service team Responsible for overall facility maintenance Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalency required, bachelors in engineering, business, or similar field preferred 10 years of engineering or manufacturing experience, or 4 with a bachelors 4 years of experience in supervisory or leadership role Industrial overhead materials handling or general commercial industry experience required Working knowledge of industrial electrical and control systems highly desirable 2 years of welding experience highly desirable Strong computer skills with Microsoft 365/Office Suite Working knowledge of Lean, 5S, ISO, Kaizen preferred Key Attributes Active problem solver Multi-task, identify priorities, and meet deadlines Attention to detail and accuracy Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills, in person, and on the telephone Work efficiently alone, as well as collaboratively within a team Interact professionally with all levels of customers, suppliers, and internal support teams Excellent organization skills Ability to effectively delegate and direct workflow The yearly compensation for this role is $68,000 - $93,500,is commensurate on experience and education, and could pay more or less than the posted range.
