As such, we invite applications for an assistant professor who is equally invested in research and teaching both undergraduate and graduate students. To that end, we are most interested in candidates who offer one or more of the following: Candidates with clinical training and experience who can serve students in a Health Sciences program designed to prepare students for medical school and other clinical professional programs. Candidates with academic training and/or practical experience who can teach across programs in our interdisciplinary core in at least one of the following areas: (a) the US healthcare delivery system and comparative healthcare systems, (b) bioethics and ethical practice in healthcare policy and delivery, (c) understanding and eliminating health disparities, including rural health disparities, and (d) population health approaches to promoting mental health and prevention substance use. Candidates with academic training and practical experience in health management/leadership, especially in healthcare, public health, or non-profit health promoting organizations, who will serve students in our MPH/PhD programs. In addition to exceptional experience and commitment to one of the areas above, the strongest candidates will also possess at least one of the secondary qualifications listed below: A population health-focused research agenda focused on infusing public health and prevention principles into clinical care settings and into healthcare policy approaches. Practical experience working directly in clinical settings using prevention and value-based approaches to healthcare delivery.
