The success metrics for this role are quality delivery, adherence to project budgets, and mentoring junior employees.Responsibilities:Design and manage bridge projects for public clients at the local, county, and state levelKnowledgeable in using industry accepted engineering and bridge design softwarePerform calculations and act as technical advisor to less experienced engineersPerform bridge inspections for routine and complex bridge structures, prepare reports, and coordinate with other team membersAdheres to scopes of work, project hours and schedulesCheck for accuracy of completed workTravel to collect field data, conduct field reviews, monitor construction progress, conduct client meetings, and participate in public hearing or interview presentations Education & Experience Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from accredited program; Master's degree preferredMinimum 5-10 years of experience in bridge design or structural engineering projectsRegistered PE in respective states or ability to obtain in six monthsExcellent communication skills, both oral and writtenStrong knowledge of structural engineering principlesExperience with AASHTO LRFD, AISC, ACI, and other North American design codesExperience with the design of multiple bridge types in concrete and steel, and knowledge of staged construction analysisExperience and understanding of structural engineering software packages like: MDX, LEAP Concrete, Open Bridge Designer, MicroStation, etc.Bridge inspection experience is preferred and NHI certification as a team leader is a plusPreferred experience would include project work on numerous types of bridge structures as well as load rating experiencePreferred experience with respective state Departments' of Transportation bridge plan layout preferred Why join us?
