THIS POSITION: We are currently seeking a Gas Leak Detection Driver to join our team with excellent navigational skills and willing to work third shift hours. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the leak detection vehicle through assigned areas collecting gas leak survey data utilized by field technicians. The Gas Leak Detection Driver will identify and work with the Field Design Supervisor and Field Tech staff on issues that are found in the field. This position will be a part of the night-shift team working 6pm – 4am (4 days per week). This position is located in the Baltimore, MD area. Pay Range: + $18-$20 per hour depending on experience + 10 hours per day/ 4 days per week + 6:00 pm-4:00 am RESPONSIBILITIES: + Drive the gas leak detection vehicle and operates advanced mobile leak detection equipment at night. + Accurately enters external data collection parameters to ensure equipment utilizes correct algorithms for calculations. + Verifies proper equipment function and documents data collection drives to assure system safety and reliability. + Plans daily routes using maps and existing drive data to ensure effective operation of the leak detection technology and field-of-view coverage. + Observes, notes, and reports irregularities of driving routes, data collection equipment, and vehicles to ensure management is aware of any potential problems. + Observes, documents, and communicates gas leaks or malfunctioning of equipment and other hazardous conditions to ensure customer and employee safety and compliance with company policy. + Participates in training and cross-training to increase job knowledge and competency. + Responds to internal and external customers’ requests, questions, and concerns in a manner that meets customer expectations. + Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures. + Perform routine vehicle and equipment maintenance and system maintenance tasks as needed. + Performs other duties as assigned.
