SAM also participates in the federal E-Verify Program. + Must have a high school diploma or equivalent + Possession of a valid, current driver’s license + One year industry experience + Knowledgeable in the principles and performance of basic types of surveys, survey computations, and field operations + Ability to work continually outside in all types of weather conditions and terrain + Ability to work out of town, in remote locations, for extended periods of time + The geomatics instrument operator uses a variety of land survey instruments to support a crew in their daily operations + Assists in the completion of field surveys under the supervision of a Crew Chief + Responsible for the operation, checking and basic field adjustments of land survey equipment. E.g. tripods, tribrachs, levels, total stations, GNSS receivers, data radios/modems + Utilize survey controllers and software to collect geospatial data and perform survey computations + Read and interpret various types of maps and plans + Complete neat and orderly field notes for land survey operations with supervision from Crew Chief + Keeps Crew Chief informed of problems and progress + Load and unload trucks with land survey equipment and supplies + Clean and maintain land survey equipment, tools and vehicle + Follow company safety procedures for land survey operations
